Toca Madera opened its Las Vegas dining room in 2022 inside The Shops at Crystals, a short walk from Aria on the CityCenter end of the Strip. It belongs to the Noble 33 group, with sibling locations in Scottsdale and Houston, and the pitch is modern Mexican built on organic and sustainable ingredients, served in a room that leans moody and dramatic rather than casual cantina. The wine program has held a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2024, which tells you something about how seriously this place takes its cellar for a restaurant best known for tequila and mezcal.
The happy hour window is Monday through Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm, and it is a real menu rather than a couple of discounted drafts. Cocktails include the Toca Margarita in your choice of blanco tequila or mezcal with lava salt, a watermelon margarita spiked with Thai basil, and the No Mames, a mezcal and rum number with passion fruit and red bell pepper. House red and white pours are available, along with Corona, Pacifico, and Modelo. The food side ranges from guacamole with pomegranate and plantain chips to queso fundido loaded with A5 chorizo, crispy calamari, and chicken tinga or short rib tostaditas, plus two-per-order tacos, either steak or beer-battered sea bass on house-made corn tortillas. Hamachi and a sea bass ceviche blanco cover the raw bar. One caveat: the restaurant does not publish happy hour prices online, so ask for the printed menu and expect Strip pricing even at a discount.
This is the happy hour for a dressed-up start to the night, a pre-show dinner substitute, or anyone who wants Toca Madera's kitchen without committing to full dinner tabs. It is not a flip-flops and video poker situation.
A few practical notes. Doors open at 4 pm on weekdays, so the room is still calm when the deal kicks in at 5. Tuesday overlaps with Toca Tuesday, the house party that goes all night. Skip weekends for deals, though brunch is served Friday through Sunday with a dice gimmick that comps your meal up to $1,500 if you roll double threes.
